I'm highly sexed, but women have never appealed to me, nor have I sought them out during "dry" periods. It's taken me decades to realize that my hormones are a dangerous thing LOL.
I also think the younger generation start out experimenting liberally because of the media attention it gets, that maybe it's "okay". I think you could be right about hedonism. After all, we are watching the fall of Rome all over again. Between the advent of Playboy and Hustler back in the 60's and 70's and the relinquishing of industry decency standards and the proliferation of porn on the web, it's no wonder that we find ourselves devolving into a morass of socially unacceptable "norms".
Add to that, the socially inept and we have the results showing up in our daily newpapers and on the nightly news.
