"The Democratic side has a number of strong contenders" Heh.

I stand by my prediction that a lot of voters will not only be holding their noses when they go into the polls, but probably wearing hazmat suits.

Edwards became a non-entity months ago, and the Clinton Posse has been desperately trying to rip Obama's jugular out as she drops in the polls. Iowa is up for grabs--but then remember what happened to some of the last few Iowa winners anyway. New Hampshire? Who knows?

Anybody predicting victory at this point in either party is not only counting chickens before they're hatched, but counting them before they evolved from reptiles. Hell, I'm not even predicting primary winners at this point.

Myself, I still kind of like Thompson, and would vote for Rudy or Mitt over the Democrat, but I'm not delirious about any of them. I think you'll find most Republicans are not hard over on any of the candidates. Democrats either, although I suspect that if Gore was in the race, Democrats would sell all they own, give it to the poor, and follow him. He isn't going to...he's got a good thing going now, and he's comfortably insulated from any real one-on-one public opposition. That would change in a campaign.
