Just remember is that for many months "An Inconvenient Truth" was the mainstream of the entire argument. It was the subject of news stories and lectures, and the primary source for thousands of global warming arguments. It was shoved down the throats of everyone down to our kids in schools. And those pointing out the problems back then were lambasted up one side and down the other. Here, too.
If this subject is political up the wazoo, people like Gore can take a lot of the credit. Even the IPCC has a lot of issues in that area. My ignoring that isn't going to change anything.
