5 mpg more.

FWI, I thought I'd post my experiments on getting better gas mileage.

17 - 19 mpg- put air in my tires. They didn't look low at all but after a year, all four were 10psi low.

19 - 20.5 mpg- Changed driving habits:

Slow starts, very light steady pedal-let speed vary with inclines. California stops.

Play the coasting game- coast up to stop signs/lights. If your on the flat, you should be able to coast 5/600 feet. Try to reach the stop sign at 25mph or less. By the way, to measure the distance, most telephone poles are 100' apart.
(There is one stop on my way back from work where I can coast for over 1/2 mile.) Oh, and it will save you on brake jobs too.

20.5 - 21.75 Switched to Shell gasoline. The only thing I can think of is, they are not currently blending ethanol.

To try in the near future: High performance air filter + synthetic motor oil.

Anyone else have any tips?

If you have money to burn, go ahead and throw it in your gas tank- Keep them oil Co's happy. :)
