Lindy's got a point
Don't you remember the recorded calls that came to light a few years ago, of an energy-industry executive ordering the shutdown of generators to create an atificial shortage? Doesn't that make you ask yourself if the suits can be trusted? How many such calls go undiscovered?
"Market forces" aren't handed to us from the universe like gravity. They're a human construct, subject to manipulation. Do you really think we can expect $3 dollar gas prices if the fatcats know they can make more money charging $4? Blind faith in "the market" is no less ridiculous than blind faith in communism.
The calculus of "market forces" doesn't lead to minimum price, it leads to maximum profit.
