If they build new refineries, 1. it would cost THEM $$$, 2. it would LOWER the price of gas at the pump and 3. no one wants one near their city anyway. Yeesh. We can't win for THEM shooting us in the foot and US shooting us in the foot. We're dancing to the jig the oil companies play with holes in our feet and we can't stop the dance. Unless some wonderful inventor comes up with a solution. Of course, it would take about 2 minutes for the oil magnates to order the assassination of said inventor or 5 minutes for the bought and paid for government to declare the invention 1. unworkable, 2. illegal, or 3. damaging to our economy.
