We were very lucky.
Precious little was damaged because of the way things are spaced on the floor. (An unintended consequence of the Americans With Disabilities Act: plenty of space for sodden ceiling tiles to fall and hit almost nothing.)
And I had stopped by on the way to the grocery store to check on the room temperature while we were closed Sunday afternoon. If the temperature had gone up any higher than the 82 F it was on Saturday afternoon, I intended to cancel the Monday morning Baby Story Time. Infants and 90-degree heat: not a good combination. The temperature was the same, but the sound of running water tipped me off. The puddle, already about 12' across, would have been much bigger by Monday morning.
