I agree its easier to divide a circle into eights than tenths, but what I'm saying is its easier for a freehand doodler to divide a circle into tenths than it would be to convert pi from base 10 to base 8 numbers.

in base 8, 3 would no longer be 3, but would be less than 3.

In just a few minutes I drew it up in AutoCad using base 10, than superimposed it over a base 8 graph. Suffice to say its much easier in base 10.
