The premise of the show is that a group of mathematicians are enlisted to solve crimes...

what they do is toss out mathematics buzzwords and use them to explain the magic they do to solve the crime between commercials...

I have only seen bits an pieces so maybe I am being unfair, but thats the impression I got from what I did see...
