Just because we can all agree something isn't working doesn't mean any other solution picked out of thin air will. We're not talking about monolithic one-size-fits-all solutions, the crack I made about centralized control was just to push your buttons, and it obviously scored a hit.
In fact, I made no suggestions whatsoever as to how to solve this horrible problem, and I haven't a clue on where to start, and yes, many of the criticisms you make in your post are right on target.
What I actually said, however, was that the vouchers approach was bogus, and in my opinion, it is just a shameless and cynical ploy to go after the Soccer Mom and NASCAR Dad vote. It is Republican welfare for the middle and upper classes, right up there with flood insurance for waterfront mansions and beach rebuilding projects for the seaside resort industry.
You didn't respond to my post, TB, you didn't even mention vouchers, you just launched your monolithic "one-size-fits-all" harangue.
