--The current education system is run as a near-monopoly nationwide by those with the beliefs that are detrimental to education. If it bothers you to put a name to them, fine.

--There are two choices: pry this worldview loose from an educational system that has been dominated by it for decades, or figure out a way to give people an alternative. Which would be easier?
