The 2009 class of astronauts will be quite different from the Shuttle generation astronauts...

There's an article in the october/november Air and Space magazine.

The new astronauts will have not to be too big , will have to sustain more G's, more disconfort than the Shuttle ones.

There will be fewer than before...

There won't be any pilots, commander, mission specialists, payload commanders, payload specialists , astronaut treachers.....There will only be operators.
They might only have one or two flights in their entire career. Thery will have to go to the public .
And of course, no Lisa Nowak scandel is wished, so psychology will take an important role.
