It falls into a few classes:
1. Just lights in the sky without any other information to identify them.
2. Planets, aircraft, etc, etc.
3. Eyewitness accounts of clearly sighted spacecraft, landings of same, abductions, etc.
4. Blurry pictures that show nothing, or obviously edited pictures that show UFO
My comments to the first two are, "So what?".
My comments to number 3 above are, "You MUST be kidding. Both my parents were lawyers, I grew up in a courtroom, and I am not about to believe any eyewitness testimony unsupported by physical evidence. The number of witnesses does not impress me; 10 people can lie or suffer delusions as easily as one."
Comments to number 4: "Phooey."
Evidence that would convince me that we have been visited by extraterrestrials would be
1. a public landing by a spacecraft not built on Earth;
2. artifact from such a spacecraft of a type not possibly built with today's terrestrial technology;
3. actual body, living or dead, of an extraterrestrial alien, in public display and able to be examined by experts in public.
I am a confirmed skeptic. Nothing less than one or more of these three would do it for me, I am afraid.
