"Eat your heart out America" ??

What...you think the US government is jealous of Canada's UFO disclosure?

If someone in 1800 saw a passing 747 airplane, what would they think?

In 1900 if the same 747 airplane was spotted what would they think?

What about the year 2000?

How about the year 8000?

See what I'm getting at?

The unknown and unrecognizable ceases to possess either fantastic or otherworldly properties once they are understood. Something that seems out of place or representing some unknown will always be mysterious and - thanks to human nature - either worshipped or feared.

I assure you the US files and research on UFOs far exceeds that of Canada and the US will never possess any "disclosure" envy.

If anything, UFO aficionados seeking real answers should be discouraged by such disclosures. It means the UFO "era and generation" is aging out of government and the new generations which are coming into power, inheriting these files see absolutely no value or interest in keeping these files classified. Unfortunately, the result will be even more discounting of the value of UFO reports and sustain the current pattern of ignoring many reports and those who report them.

Be careful what you wish for. It's much more lucrative for UFO folks to point to the evil global conspiracy of governments suppressing knowledge than to have thousands of half-baked reports disclosed. The new generation has about as much interest in UFOs as they do in playing phonograph records.
