These guys are all one-trick ponies, all they care about is their pocketbooks. They've become a grotesque caricature of the worst parts of their own philosophy while managing to pervert and ignore everything of value they once stood for. Investment in science always pays off in the long run, in real goods, jobs and services. In this case, it might just save lives, too.
