If Jindal runs for president, the major thing the Left is going to attack will be his religion, in the same way that issues and ideas were avoided with Palin in favor of ridiculous externalities. No Democrat is going to want to discuss the principles that need to be discussed.
It's odd that you think electing a person with certain religious beliefs is somehow the same as creating a theocracy, but electing a person who has been a leftist radical most of his life isn't the same thing as creating a collectivist state.
That, and diluting the ideas of "progressive" economics, which has left the corpses of nations scattered around the planet, into "fellow countrymen whose political opinions aren't quite identical to yours, perhaps just somewhat to the left of them."
The President, and the people he has gathered around him, aren't just "somewhat to the left" of me.
