I'll believe crooked businessmen are protecting their profits before I'll believe a crooked scientific establishment covering up each other's mistakes just so they can...explain to me again what they're doing and why.
Your data means nothing to me, I don't know enough climatology to properly determine if your objections are valid, or if you've selected one flawed study because it supports your conclusions (conveniently ignoring a host of others), or even if what you are saying is an isolated data point, or totally misinterpreted by you. Mr Marsby's five points are not absolute proof either, but they make a lot more sense to me than the alternative you are suggesting.
I have to rely on what the consensus of specialists in the field tell me, and I have to accept what the preponderance of organizations I have no reason to suspect are lying or mistaken are telling me that consensus is. Could they be "Lowellizing"? Sure, it's happened before on other scientific debates. But with what I see now I have to go with my instincts, because I just don't trust yours.
