Hey, I'm not from around these parts - but I'm human. ;-)
Native Earth dwellers? As in folks who have "only" lived on the Earth consist of perhaps 35% of the planet's population. The rest have some sort of experience on other worlds in the galaxy, most about the same level of development as the Earth.
You can choose to be born wherever you like. If you've been around the block, eventually you can choose which world - which time - and which parents.
Consciousness is the ticket, is the real you. It can affix itself to all sorts of organisms with the facility for supporting data input and output. The human body has many built in 'instincts' , which like an animal resurface in all humans to some degree or another. After that the predilections, intellect and disposition all rely on field data carried with consciousness.
The history of this world is far more than the past 3000 years of sketchy historic records deliver. Man has been here for hundreds of thousands of years and it's not like man lived all that time in a neanderthal state. This world has risen and fallen more times than it can remember. It has reclaimed its lost civilizations with totality. Man hardly makes a dent on this world and all of our civilization would last about 10 thousand years before becoming completely decomposed and returning to the elements it was formed from. And that is when the solar and planetary weather is good. When the Earth, or any world, gets sufficiently jostled by plate activity, volcanic eruptions and solar radiation bombardment - the turn around can be amazingly fast.
Rise to technocracy, descend to aboriginality - only to rise again. In 3000 years man could invent an atom bomb. Imagine what 10,000 years delivers? That's right - you can disintegrate every structure, person or thing - complete molecular dispersement into free atoms.
When a society goes postal with advanced technology - there's often no trace of it left. None. Only the exposed scars of a world if one is lucky. Many worlds have been destroyed by humans - or their equivalent. Fortunately the galaxy is stocked up and all those who die on a destroyed world can find new homes born in a world not yet as developed - a world just like this one - Earth. The distance means nothing. Without a body consciousness is far faster than lightspeed. It can traverse half a galaxy in far less than the blink of an eye. Frequency relationship does its thing. By default, souls blown to bits on vaporized worlds are instantly drawn to the nearest compatible energy structure - for many this means Earth and the human form.
And with this movement comes amnesia. Each life the slate is wiped clean and the new body builds its own record of consciousness which a portion of gets stored into quantized fields of energy to be carried with one to the next life - or the next world.
Earth has a vast disparity of intellectual development here, yet it's frequency range covers only so wide a portion of the spectra. So certain particularly low or high folks are not included into the general make-up of the population. There are exceptions, but the vast majority place themselves here by default and have not used consciounsess to guide them.
Fear of the unknown is a primal fear. Later it is replaced by curiosity and still later a hunger for new information and experience. Humanity is still somewhat lazy. No real hunger for progress exists within the masses. It is more subdued. Humanity enjoys what it has and only the fringes seek more than what is available here. When technocracy takes away the adversity, complacency kicks in.
Yes, there are many aliens among Zoners. If you knew the worlds many came from and the forms they lived in, in other parts of the galaxy, one would be astounded.
Or would one?
Somehow...all that I relate here might seem familiar...like a dream one had and forgot about, or a deja vu...
