Not that I particularly care... they deserve prison, public humiliation and a life of misery no matter what their motivation.
That 'Boys will be boys' bullshit just doesn't cut it, neither does 'well they were drunk and didn't know what they were doing'- they are sociopathic predators, trash that only prey on people when they feel certain they have an overwhelming advantage.
They have no place in civilized society...
I haven't been in a situation like that since Jr high (when it was a daily occurrence) - maybe a few close calls I thought might end in violence since then, but fortunately it was always avoided.
I have - on VERY rare occasions- come across that type in my professional life, where the threat isn't physical, but still very real and consequential... and again they do it when they feel they are in a position of strength and think they have power over those they seek to intimidate. Fortunately,So far, the run-ins I personally have had with those types have all had comically satisfying conclusions.
I can’t imagine having to worry like that all the damn time, like many do, just for walking to the store, or jogging, or just being.
Sadly we are a nation where a sizable portion of the electorate worships bullies, revels in seeing people in power stick it to the powerless- the people that voted for Trump did so because he promised to abuse the right people- powerless people, usually with a darker complexion. If they are allowed power again- and they probably will be- many more of us will have to live like that all the damn time.
