It’s to society in general. Older men are often perceived as attractive, wrongly you see stuff online with them hailed as attractive to women but it reflects the different values in society.
When I look at older men in the community, high school teachers, sports coaches etc, I hear from young people about how they look up to them as role models. I don’t tend to hear the same about older women, I can’t remember the last time I did.
This is a rhetorical question, I don’t expect or want an answer.
Does it matter if you if you are invisible to older or less than attractive women ? Why the need to point out that your former lover was a spectacular, beautiful woman? Because it seems to be that some men use that to validate their own self worth.
Older women seem to often invisible to other women. If you are single, doubly so. Nobody ignores a single woman more than women who are married. For example, social events where you are sitting alone and ignored by women in married couples, to the extent that they will reject attempts to join them, saying their table is married couples only, yet they welcome single men readily.
We are the thorn in the side of society. Me? Baby, I don’t care.

It’s not just to young and attractive women
