It was grim and consequences I did not accept

Being honest, it was grim of course and had unwanted consequences. I was reluctant to admit to it earlier.

One of which was a long distrust of men from the same ethnic group as him. I’d always been very vocal against racism. All of a sudden I found I couldn’t feel comfortable with men from that ethnicity, I tell myself it could have been men with ginger hair or whatever and that I wasn’t being racist but I was being.

If I found myself walking in front of a man of that ethnicity I was more nervous than if it was a male sharing my ethnicity, totally irrational of course.
