Florida consumes about 20 million gallons of gasoline a day, the cracked equivalent of 40 million gallons of oil. So it would run through your "200 million gallons" of (unrefined) petroleum in just 5 days, not "6 months". Where are you getting your figures?
To be charitable, perhaps what you really meant was 200 million BARRELS of oil in the entire RESERVOIR. Even so, that still only would slake America's thirst for petroleum for about ten days.
You sly devil.
Either way, the colossal damage we are seeing is due to only a tiny amount of the entire contents of the reservoir. You just can't dilute this stuff, Mr Hayward, oil floats on top of the water, and the two don't mix.
