Talk about yer ruinous punishment
I wonder if the govt will press the issue. I hope not. What would it accomplish, other than to destroy jobs and delight lawyers?
Once BP discovered it couldn't lie its way out of this, it appears to have done a fairly decent job. As long as they keep on working at it (and work towards preventing such an event in the future), perhaps we should consider the punishment phase past, and lesson learned for BP.
