'Cause your article says they held off on the votes. If they wanted to raise taxes, then with their numbers they could have done that by ending the issue then and there. Instead, they chose to wait on the issue, thereby ensureing that the tax-cuts for the lower income people last longer. Also, you claim to cite "trustable sources". Your source is a right-winger's blog, and full of republican opinions. Also, there's nothing wrong with rasing taxes for higher income people at all. The Netherlands does that, and they're doing just fine.
