As far as military policy was concerned, Obama sat back and pretty much continued whatever Bush and his generals were doing.

The "One Nation" rally isn't about the war. It's about leftists desperately trying to rally their base to save the arse of the Democratic Party next month.
The rally brags about its "diversity," by which they mean, of course, socialists of all races, creeds, and sexual orientations.
America has already gotten a really good look at the core ideology of the Democrats over the past two years, when the Left figured it had buried conservatism for good in the last two elections and could finally go for the gold. The next election may reflect that wake-up call.
