Be interesting to count up how many times I've refuted the standard crap we get about firefighters, cops, sewers, libraries, etc. every time cutting the Federal budget comes up. i.e. they aren't funded by the Federal budget, or even states for the most part.

Seems to be a mental block about it in some circles.
