Bought a Hallmark Greeting card program a few years back. Great little program, box had pictures of cards all over it, seemed neat.
Couldn't install it, would not install, without also loading MSIE something something. Wouldn't run, unless I loaded MSIE. I resented that, didn't want the thing taking up room on my HD, but more important was the principle.
Contacted MS by email, got a live person, who read my rant, and then asked, "What don't you like about IE?"
Even though I had opened the box, I took it back to my local retailer, told 'em my sad tale, asked them to not take it back as I wanted to sue MS in small claims court.
They took it back, refunded my money. Their bundling, their marketing strategy, is what you are supposed to do if you are capitalist. And, the regulation is what must be done to by a government because greed cannot be trusted.
And, frankly, I made some money on the stock. Got rid of it at a good time, right after the Hallmark program problem Was around $105 then.
I just don't think, I know you can't, trust unrestrained, rapacious capitalism. Can't be done, any more than unrestrained, rapacious socialism or communism can be trusted.
And, my rant re the mouse was tongue-in-cheek. The thing has done well, and a poorly functioning mouse is like a tack on the chair - doesn't do much damage, but you can't forget about it and it is an irritant.
Glad you are enjoying the Apples. If I hadn't had so much money invested in PC program, I'd of shifted. I tried to go to Linux a few years ago, couldn't figure out how to partion and format my hard drive.
So, my computer is old, slow, and not much memory. We're a good match.

We'll just have to disagree on MS.
