Re: Middle ground

There is always a middle ground and that's where all European countries lie. A strong public service and at the same time, private companies providing with jobs, being judged at the Stock Exchange. Some might want to pay less taxes at one time and then later accept a sacrifice because of a national debt. Money comes and goes. Some governments might want to control its flow, but they know at what cost.
The protesters at Genoa are upset about what happens to the Third World countries. Those countries can't pay their debts (because the interest rates are too high). They are asking the G8 to cancel the debt and find a solution. The G8 are doing the same: discussing about the same topics as the demonstrators
Of course, one might forget about them because one only lends money to the rich. The protesters don't accept this.
