Ridiculous comparison

If the IRA were part of a larger Irish community which outnumberd the UK 100-1, in territory which was 500 times larger than the UK, and if that Irish community had repeatedly launched wars to attempt to exterminate the UK, and endless acts of terrorism between the wars, and if that Irish community had repeatedly turned down offers of peace, the most recent being 2 years ago, then you might have a point.
