1. Immediately prior to the Gulf War, every inspection and declaration gave Saddam a clean bill of health on nuclear weapons. Hans Blix was a participant in this.
2. AFTER THE TOTAL MILITARY DEFEAT OF IRAQ, a level of inspection became possible that revealed an extensive nuclear weapons program that even then, Iraq tried to conceal at first. Because we had beaten them in a war, and because the inspectors were backed by armed force and could go anywhere and make any demands, Iraq eventually could not effectively conceal it any more. "A nuclear weapons program is too big to hide?" They HID one, goddamit. Did you even READ the timeline?
3. The paper you cited declared before God and Man that such a program in Iraq was not possible. Physics or not, what part of "dead wrong" escapes you?
4. Iraq has a continuous pattern over many years of lies, cheating, concealment, false declarations, and an immense ambition to develop nuclear and other weapons of mass destruction. There is no evidence that this has changed. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me about four times, and it's obvious I must work for the U.N.
Good Lord, where are you having trouble with this? Are you channeling Bowser or something? Did anyone else out there miss the point?
