There is not one piece - in ALL of the "information" the US has that cannot be told to the inspectors?

You don't agree that the advantages of the inspectors finding something - anything - is better in the long run for US integrity and Middle East stability than attacking without proof?
The whole "needle-in-haystack", "iraq is the size of California" argument can be negated by the US telling the UN what it knows.
Unless of course, it doesn't know and is bluffing.....
