As I pointed out, in the exact same thread, this BAS article was written BEFORE the post-war inspections started, the same inspections which revealed an extensive nuclear weapons development effort far beyond what anyone had expected. To make it short and sweet, the BAS assesssment was...how shall I put it...inaccurate.

Read the goddam documentation from the inspectors, and the timeline. Read Hans Blix's 1991 and 1992 reports, which can be found here. These are the FACTS, folks, from the same guy who is right now running the current inspection program. Good God, do I have to pound this in with a sledgehammer?

Oddly, this huge discrepancy between the BAS article and the actual facts as discovered by inspectors seemed to fly right over Robert's head too. Anyone else having trouble with it?
