Al Queda is far too crazy for us to be concerned what their reactions would be
Al Queda bastard operatives are to be hunted down, killed or captured, without exeption, anywhere and everywhere in the world. Whether they would cheer us or curse us for any actions we take in Iraq, or anywhere else, is totally irrelevant. If any malcontent Muslims out there want to meet Allah at the end of a US Hellfire missile, then they should feel free to join up with Al Queda. We'll happily set up their date with the 72 virgins, and we'll chaperone the event.
There may be good arguments for and against military actions in Iraq, but the possible reactions or recruitment of Al Queda ain't one of them.
