>"There may be good arguments for and against military actions in Iraq, but the possible reactions or recruitment of Al Queda ain't one of them."
A quick strike will receive condemnation, but I believe Hussein will:
a)disappear, never to be seen again to make mischief somewhere else (think Bin Laden)
b)decide to not go quietly, or at all, and use any and all his chemical weapons in Bagdad for the advancing American troops and on his own people. (Let's hope the UN finds them all).
c) Give orders to set the oil fields on fire and purge the earth making it unusable for ANY American interest, for the next several years. He has NOTHING to lose.
American troops will become ill cleaning up the mess and global warming will increase again due to the burning oil fields.
The Hell that will ensue in the Middle East as other Middle Eastern Countries that WERE our allies will change overnight, and MANY muslims will begin to see it as a Holy War and many thousands will sign up to fight us back, and will be aided by our previous allies.
It will not be safe anywhere.
Muslims living in England and the Unites States will start sacrificing themselves in malls, theatres and lounges. Unrest and hatred will be everywhere.
Forget the economy. Forget the price of gas.
Forget peace.
Current Events » in reply to Al Queda is far too crazy for us to be concerned what their reactions would be
Just a tad shortsighted Matt.......

- No, the burden of proof is clearly on Iraq, not on the US or anyone else
