"And do you find something wrong with moral judgments in principle? "
Absolutely! Yes, when they are directed as blanket generalizations about individuals and predicated on faith, not fact.
That All Unbelievers (and thats what was on the bill, btw tom) are thieves and damned to hell unless they repent and take up a Jesus Habit- absolutely. This is horribly wrong.
The same goes for All Muslims Are Bad arguments predicated on faith: IE "the good book says you are bad because of[...]" type of argument.
Moral judgements on anti-semites or Nazis that are predicated on fact (historical, philosophical or otherwise) are fine in my book...
"And by the way, from a Christian standpoint, thieves are sinners, not necessarily "unbelievers." The question of belief and damnation are completely separate. It is a Christian tradition in some churches that the first person Jesus saved was the thief hanging next to him on another cross."
This is all fine, but the bill was espressly about Unbelievers and faith in Jesus, not about Sin. That would have been less offensive.
