Most Christians believe that wonderful things will happen to you for eternity if you accept Christ as your savior. And that horrible things will happen to you for eternity for refusing. Further, their holy book tells them specifically that it is their duty to help to save as many people as they can.
Even further: if that is your belief, it is just common decency to let people know. Similar to you or I, if we knew that a manhole was uncovered and endangering pedestrians. If you've got a Christian friend who doesn't try to turn you, then you should start wondering why not!
That said, I agree that holier-than-thou folks with disdain for anyone not like them should be rounded up and put in camps. [slight hyperbole]
