<Yes, this is fine, but you understand its not the "letting the nonbeliever know", its the accusing the nonbeliever of being a fundamentally bad character because of FAITH-based epistemological content.
No real Christian would accuse someone of being a "bad character" simply for being a nonbeliever. It doesn't work that way, or at least it's not supposed to.
And most christians, I think, understand that the appropriate way to try to 'turn' people is through example.
Agreed! Nothing sells Christianity better than simple and consistent Christian behavior. This would be true for all benevolent religions, I would guess.
And NOBODY likes zealots who continually try (as in more than once and/or without respect) to convince them that their spiritual beliefs are wrong. In fact, this should not be tolerated in civil society.
Cripes...good thing this doesn't apply to politics!
Actually, I haven't been approached by an evangelical "have you been saved?" type in years, although they were a lot more abundant in college. Nobody at my church behaves like this, at least not where I have seen them.
For the record, while a churchgoer, I'm not an evangelist. I normally avoid discussing religion at all.
This all brought back old college memories. I rememember these little beauties being left all over the campus. Most entertaining...real live fundamentalist brimstone, complete with certificate of Satanic authority, and half of it completely over the edge. There seem to be about ten times as many now as I remember. I had no idea what Jack Chick looked like, but an image something like Solomon Kane on speed came to mind.
Not the sort of thing you want to haul out if you want to really convert somebody. Unless they're kind of nuts.
