No doubt, indeed it is, and I will think on it and post later. But its also NOT the point we have been debating, and a diversion.

My main points in this thread have been that

1) The 'You People' that you so indignantly could not believe above have a point when they say that the Kay report indicates that (at least so far) there are no WMD stockpiles in Iraq. There being no stockpiles in Iraq must suggest to even the most doubtful that the UN sanctions were, at least in part, working.

2) That it is reasonable to doubt the original predication (points 1 through 5 in my origianl response) for this war, despite and regardless of whether you think this war was RIGHT or WRONG.

3) That those who want to see some accounting made for the gulf between the pre-war statements and the post-war reality might be reasonable, principled, rational and have a RIGHT to do so.

Thats all I am after here, Tom, and I'll be happy to continue the debate on other topics, but not until we have settled 1,2 and 3. I am frankly tired of passively reading post after post from you and others that deny the truth of 1,2 and 3. Any moderate and open-minded person, it seems to me, can't really argue against them.
