It is WRONG to lead a nation to war on false pretense. It is WRONG to attack for reasons that are false.

Again, what if you thought the reasons for the war were true, based on your best knowledge, at the time you started the war?

Where does "responsibility" come into it? Is this the only war ever fought where one knows more coming out than going in? How would you correct the "error?" Leave Iraq and give it back to Saddam?

"Next time we'll wait until you nuke us first. Sorry. The palace keys are under the mat. And you know where to find the people who helped us out."

Personally, I think paying to rebuild and support Iraq under these circumstances is just one of the moral things to do. Some Democrats disagree.

Not one person has been able to prove Bush or Blair went into Iraq knowing full well that the intelligence did not reflect the most accurate picture. And God knows the Left has been busting their asses trying to prove exactly that for months. They are currently floating the idea that Bush "implied" something. Nobody has a single proven lie to point to. The pathetic example of the "sixteen words" was the best they could do.

Since when has it been 'easy' to be the good guy, or 'safe' to be the good guy? Thats just how principles work, and I should NOT have to spell this out for you, a putative adult and self-professed Christian. Doing good and godly deeds can and does get folks killed.

I'm not sure where you're going with this. Is the idea that to maintain our moral purity, we should let our enemies kill more Americans before we do anything aggressive? If so, I disagree. If the only thing George W. Bush was risking in his policies was his own life, maybe he would do things the way you think he should. But it isn't just him, is it?
