Just as in every other war, the decisions are made in imperfection and carried out imperfectly.
There is a cottage history of revisionsists doing what you wish to do with nearly every aspect of WWII, WWI, the Civil War, The American Revolution even.
You wish to redefine this war as: no WMDs to your acceptability = failed war.
You wish to redefine this war to say: no tranquil bucolic Iraq today = failed war.
You are not going to succeed in this, no matter how many threads you fill with conversations with yourself.
This war was about removing what was seen intil the war started as a bipartisan, world recognized threat that was found to be unacceptable in the post 9-11 world. It has succeeded beyond any reasopnable expectation. Period.

PS: now the economy is growing above economic consensus for 5 quarters, and job growth is starting to catch up.
