re: Martian GOLD RUSH?

As others have pointed out, it would cost more than the gold is worth to bring it back to Earth.

Resources on Mars would be valuable to humans living on Mars. If humans are serious about becoming a multi-planet species, we will need to learn how to “live off the land”. To a Martian colonist, gold would be valuable as a conducting material. It could find other uses as well, but water will be far more valuable to humans on Mars than gold.

We should look at space resources, not to use on the Earth, but to use in space. This will make Space exploration cheaper.

Perhaps one day, when Mars has a thriving population, Mars gold will be used for currency.. I wonder what a Mars gold coin would have minted on it?
