In 2000 he just sort of ignored it, and it went away. This time he's getting defensive, and the excuses don't hold.

As with Watergate and Lewinski, it seems the coverup is worse than the original problem, and GWB might come out of this with his credibility damaged even more. Even with the True Believers, who are coming to doubt him a bit.

As an aside, does anyone really think Cheney will be on the ticket? Come to think of it, I'll post that as a thread.
