Your problem Greg is you have a reading comprehension problem.
This is what was said according to the article you linked to:
Recalls Memphian Mintz, now 63: “I remember that I heard someone was coming to drill with us from Texas. And it was implied that it was somebody with political influence. I was a young bachelor then. I was looking for somebody to prowl around with.â€
Not:
"But Bob Mintz, who was a pilot in the 187th during that period, says that Bush's transfer was the subject of considerable scuttlebutt at the time and they were all eager to get a look at him. According to a story in the Memphis Flyer today, they never did."
The difference is that Mintz didn't say it was Bush, rather what he said was "somebody with political influence". Now, Bush senior had yet to be a vice President or President by this time. Though he was involved in politics, as was his father, Prescott Bush. All I can say is if this had generated "considerable scuttlebutt" then these guys must have been dreadfully bored.
you exsist in a fantasy world that filters reality to only what you want to hear.
Do you know what? I've been on the lookout for the Dallas cowboy cheerleaders, they come to Yongsan a lot, I've yet to see hide nor hair of THEM either! (maybe they are AWOL?!?!?!)
Current Events » in reply to you misread the thread, that was just the heading of an article
Which has already been adressed by gbaike (and you ignored it)
The whole thread (34 posts)
- Another member of the 187th, Paul Bishop, says the same thing: "I never saw hide nor hair of Mr. Bush."
- Like Kevin Drum at Calpundit, Greg is riding this one all the way down to the ground.

- BTW, do you get the sense GWB is panicking this time?
- Another Tx Guard officer says records "cleansed".
- Calpundit
- what evidence do you have there are witnesses who saw Bush?
- Military Dentist Doesn't Recall Bush
- Do you realize just how absurd that is?
- Its amazng that you can view this as helping your argument, in fact it makes a mokery of it.
