Sadly, neither party to the conflict in the region has paid proper respect to these principles as the death toll has continued to rise. Since the start of the second intifada in September 2000, over 2,755 Palestinians and over 830 Israelis have been killed and 28,000 Palestinians and 5,600 Israelis have been injured. Most have been civilians. Five hundred and fifty children have been killed, of whom 460 were Palestinians and 90 Israelis. The number of Palestinian children killed, mainly in air and ground attacks, has increased in 2003. Within Israel, most deaths have been caused by suicide bombers."

Regarding your observation as to my behavior, frankly, there have been occasions where I've appreciated your observations.

In regard to my condescension toward gbaikie, I'd suggest you note the tone of his posts to me, and you may begin to understand a bit of the repartee. I'm sure he can explain that.

He's usually insulting, I'm often condescending. In a nice way. Heh, heh.

If what you are really saying is that condescension on the part of a liberal is unfair, but that invective as practiced by yourself, LarryJ, ed, etc., is an entitlement, right, and privilege reserved for conservatives, I'd have to allow you that opinion. It certainly seems to be accurate - the liberals don't seem to swear as much.

I would ask about the distinction, given that Patriot Act II isn't in place, yet. There must be a justification for the free speech allowed conservatives and criticized in conservatives.
