A True Believer (TB) isn't necessarily someone who disagrees with me. That does not define a True Believer. There can be TBs who do agree with me. The Democrat version of True Believer is James Carville. You know he will toe the Democratic line no matter what the facts or truth, no matter where reason would take a reasonable person. I don't have any use for the man, he doesn't think.
A True Believer is someone who was outraged at the lies Bill Clinton told, and finds excuses or denies the lies George Bush tells, even though the latter's lies are far more serious.
A True Believer promotes a war, wants a war, desires war, and then doesn't want to see the pictures of the casualties, or even the statistics of the casualties.
A True Believer thinks that it's OK for in every case for some people to kill innocent civilians and not for others to do that. A True Believer thinks that calling murder "collateral damage" covers moral responsibility for murder.
A True Believer thinks that the ends justify the means of their political agenda.
A True Believer thinks that it is OK for their side to hide what they do, because if it is wrong there may be political consequences and that wouldn't be fair. They say, "It's all politics", when they are covering for their people, even to the point of covering up misfeasance or malfeasance. After all, it's all politics. Unless the other side does it.
Those are True Believers. They are not all conservatives, right-wing, or Republcans. However, Democrat or Republican, they do not think for themselves, they are the bottom-dwellers of the political scene, they are predictable, and are not amenable to reason or logic.
