Oh Lord, can those men play! Fleck was supporting his classical banjo CD, Perpetual Motion.
The Paganini piece the CD is named for is unbelievable: he flies through it. He said, in a radio interview, that his life is shortened by several minutes every time he plays it in concert, because he gets so wound up. (He has to watch the fretboard every minute, so if he loses concentration he's done.) He does a "straight" version and a bluegrass version on the CD.
Meyer does things with the string bass that makes the audience holler -- jazz licks -- and he turns around and makes it sing like a cello.
I put the Flecktones on in the toddler and picture book section of the library regularly. They dance. And giggle and scream. Banjo appreciation begins among the very young. :)

I saw Bela Fleck and Edgar Meyer in concert together last year.
