Would all those who believe they are effette and nihilistic please show your hands.

If you choose carefully from the definitions of the words:

nihilism: An extreme form of skepticism that denies all existence. A doctrine holding that all values are baseless and that nothing can be known or communicated.

At base, I know that I can never percieve with certainty, and that I can never communicate anything to another with certainty. That to prove anything with logic requires first that I accept a whole list of hypotheses that themselves can never be proven [eg: "assuming if A then B, and if B then C, and A is true, then C is proven" requires the beliefs that A, B, and C can exist at all, that A, B, and C can not only exist but also be true, that anything can imply something else, that I'm not actually the king of Titanian ammonia slugs that is having a nightmare, etc.] But I accept that things work a lot better if I assume as a working hypothesis that things are as I perceive them. Makes it a lot easier to sign those rent checks, etc.

Marked by self-indulgence, triviality, or decadence I certainly aspire to be wealthy enough to devote my life to avoiding folks who want to give me orders. And for triviality: have you heard my jokes, lately (see below)?

No longer productive; infertile. Hmmm. That might be convenient. Maybe I will get that operation.
