FTL seems impossible by all current wisdom but who knows?

Then there is my favorite, extended life that will shorten the distances.

Then there are intelligent machines that will no doubt mirror our good and bad qualities.

The point is we need to be better and get along better, even if the ultimate skin pigment and culture is unrecognizable to us.
