I'll make an argument that many will probably disagree with.

Capitalism is probably the best thing to ever happen to humanity. Better then even Democracy.

Capitalism forces individuals to make complex decisions every day and to try and optimize the quality of their life. We have to make decisions about employment, savings, and how to best spends our money. These decisions tend to be very stressful, but this stress shows why capitalism is so good. It forces us to think.

Democracy is the best government system in the world at this time but still fundamentally flawed. Want to know how I know this. I'm not stressed out about who I'm going to vote for. It is way to easy for me to choose between Bush and Kerry. It should be a much more complicated decision. In fact just voting is irrational, my one vote will never make a difference so why waste the energy (I will vote anyway).

I believe the USA's strong devotion to capitalism is the main reason we are the most successful country in the history of the world.
