Tom has talked about Prize insentives I just haven't though about it that much. What would the losers get?

Don't see much in the way of potential commercial applications for Astronomy, why would someone take the risk?

By the way, try posting on OFF TOPIC, that's always a good spot for topics like taxation, socialism, the free market etc.
